SNETMAC Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a Server Hardware Support Specialist with 5+ years of experience to oversee the server refurbishing process in our lab and provide on-site hardware support to customers. This role requires in-depth expertise in server-level hardware, operating systems, and storage systems.
The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, skilled in server diagnostics, and experienced in quality & performance grading.
Responsibilities
- Server Refurbishing & Quality Control: Manage the refurbishing, testing, and grading of enterprise servers in the lab.
- On-Site Hardware Support: Provide technical support & troubleshooting for server-related hardware at customer sites.
- Server Testing & Performance Benchmarking: Conduct detailed testing of servers to assess performance, reliability, and quality.
- Component-Level Diagnostics: Identify and resolve faults in CPU, RAM, storage, RAID controllers, and power supplies.
- Storage & OS Deployment: Configure RAID setups, install OS (Linux, Windows Server, VMware), and optimize storage solutions.
- Inventory & Documentation: Maintain records of refurbished units, component replacements, and quality grading reports.
- Collaboration & Training: Work closely with team members and assist in training junior staff in server diagnostics and refurbishing techniques.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Server Support, Data Center Operations, or Enterprise IT Infrastructure.
- Strong expertise in server hardware components, RAID configurations, and performance tuning.
- Experience with Windows Server, Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat), and virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Familiarity with server brands like Dell, HP, Lenovo, and Supermicro.
- Ability to conduct detailed server testing, performance benchmarking, and grading.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Strong communication skills for customer interactions during on-site visits.
